Rauhaa ja rakkautta itse kullekin säädylle! Olen Saku Parttimaa, ensimmäisen vuoden Informaatioteknologian opiskelija, ja ilmoitan täten kiinnostukseni killan rahastonhoitajuutta kohtaan.
Uskoakseni olen jotakuinkin tuntematon valtaosalle tätä lukevista, joten esittelyt lienevät paikallaan: Kuten mainittua, aloitin opintoni AS-killan jäsenenä vasta tänä syksynä, suoritettuani tekniikan avoimen väylän opinnot toisen pääaineeni - BIZ-puolen Economics - ohella, ja tavoitteenani on olla aktiivisesti kiltatoiminnassa mukana heti alusta alkaen parhaan kykyni mukaan. Alla on siis kolmas vuoteni Aalto-yliopistossa, ja ensimmäinen kanditutkinto alkaa hiljalleen olla kasassa.
Miksi rahastonhoitajaksi?
Kuten sanottua, takanani on noin kaksi vuotta taloustieteen opintoja, mutta todellinen suuntautumiseni on kuitenkin informaatioteknologian parissa, ja laittaisin mielelläni toisen pääaineeni opit hyötykäyttöön killan hyödyksi (sillä muunlaista hyötykäyttöä niille tuskin tulee). Työnkuvan tasaisen tappava työtahti hieman kulissien takana piilossa sopii muutenkin parhaiten omalle persoonallisuudelleni, samalla toimien hidasteena opinnoilleni ja toivottavasti estäen minua valmistumasta liian nopeasti (todellinen uhka!!). Olen tasavertaisilta osilta masokisti ja altruisti siinä mielessä, että teen mielelläni paljon ns. “likaista työtä” jotta muut voivat ottaa vähän rennommin ja keskittyä ns. “oleelliseen”, ja monenkaan langan pitäminen sormissa ei saa minua stressaantumaan.

Liikunta ja aivan erityisesti musiikki on mulle todellä lähellä sydäntä; valmennan Taekwondoa, juoksen ja silloin tällön käyn jopa salilla. Uusimpana lisäyksenä urheilurepertuaariin on varovaisen tavoitteellinen triathlon-harrastus.
Tämän lisäksi olen auttamaton ja parantumaton hippimusiikin (ja monen muunkin, mut päällimäisenä hippimusiikin) rakastaja; mulle ei voi ikinä koskaan myöntää aux/bt-oikeutta, mikäli ei nimenomaan halua kuulla Scarlet Begonias->Fire on the Mountain 5/8/77 tai vastaavaa senhetkeiseen vibeen sopivaa vastinetta. Ja riippumatta omasta musamaustani, oon aina kiinnostunut yappaan/kuunteleen yappaamista musiikista kenen tahansa kanssa. Erityisen kiinnostuneille asiasta alta löytyy mun last.fm.

Peace and love to each and every one of you! I’m Saku Parttimaa, a first-year IT-student, and I’m hereby announcing my interest in becoming the Treasurer of the Guild.
I believe I’m mostly a stranger to most of you reading this, so allow me to introduce myself: As mentioned above, I began my studies as a member of AS this fall, after having completed the open university pathway for technology in tandem with my second major - Economics at Aalto BIZ - and I’m aiming to be an active member of the guild right from the get-go to the best of my abilities. This is my third year at Aalto University, and I’m nearing the completion of my Bachelor of Economics -degree.
Why Treasurer?
As I mentioned, I’ve studied Economics for two years now, but my true calling is most certainly in IT, and I’d like to be of service in applying my studies on the BIZ-side to the benefit of the guild (as I’m unlikely to utilize them otherwise in my career). The constant yet demanding workload of the Treasurer and working behind the scenes are a perfect fit for my personality, while also serving as a means to prevent myself from graduating too fast (an actual issue!!). I’m equal part masochist equal part altruist in the sense that I’ll gladly take on as much “dirty” work as needed, if it means that others have the opportunity to focus on the more “essential” side of things, and I don’t get stressed even when holding multiple threads at my fingertips.

All right, that’s it for the formalities, here’s what’s actually important about me.
Excercise and music are what I live and breathe by; I coach Taekwondo, run and occationally visit the gym. The most recent addition to my sports repertoire is conservatively goal-oriented triathlon-training.
In addition to this, I’m an unrecoverable hippie (lots of other music too, but mainly hippie) music enthusiast; it’s adviced against ever permitting me to hold aux/bluetooth-rights, unless you’re absolutely keen on listening to Scarlet Begonias->Fire on the Mountain 5/8/77 or similiar alternative fitting for whichever’s the vibe on the occation. Regardless of my preferences, I’m always keen to yap about music with whoever who’s passionate about any kind of music. For those who find it relevant, you can find the link to my last.fm below.
