Hi we are Jere Hasu(@JereHa) and Nimrod Pocsveiler( @TheDSDictator), and we are interested in applying for the position of MISC together!! We believe that we would be a great choice for this role, and that together we could ensure the MINT students have a great year!

Proposed change to the drafted board structure
Since we are both very interested in being on the AS board, we would like to propose a slight change in the structure of the board, where both MISCs would have board positions.

1. This would greatly reduce our overhead of having to also communicate all guild matters between each other (since we could both be “in the loop”).
2. It would ensure that all MINT matters would be fairly represented in the board.
3. We currently feel that Finnish students, English Bachelor’s students, and Master’s and International students are 3 overly separate groups and would strive to help with their integration within the guild. Having more of the Voice of the Master’s and International people on the board would help with that.
4. We also want to ensure that our roles don’t feel like one of us is the “main” MISC and the other is secondary. We both want to be equals, also thus ensuring that we both remain just as motivated for the whole year.
5. Also, would be fun

In previous years it might have made more sense to have one board MISC only, given that not both of the MISCs spoke understood Finnish, however in our case, we are both sufficient enough to easily get by.

Who is Jere?

Hellou (Hellou) I am Jere (Hi Jere) and as previously stated I am applying for the position of MISC for the year 2026 with Nimrod. I am a second year Automation and Robotics student (altho I started in 23 and did Intti in the middle of my fuksi year). When I first started in Otaniemi I knew I wanted to be active in the community and the guild. In 25 I have been helping the captains as a FuksiASistant as well as being a MINT-ISO myself. I have greatly enjoyed both of these roles, and now I would like to step that up and take more responsibility as a MISC.

Outside of Teekkari stuff I do many things with varying amounts of consistency. In my free time I (as probably most of you) like hanging out with my friends and doing stuff with them. Other things I do in my free time include Fencing, cycling, playing board, video and role playing games. I also sometimes organize smaller scale events such as sauna evenings, sitsis, board game evenings or parties for my friends. These have been great in giving me experience and confidence in organizing stuff and getting things to happen.

On of my main motivation in becoming a MISC (also part 2 in our plans) is that in my eyes unfortunately it still feels that people in AS are separated by their language and this is one of the main things I would like to try and change as a MISC

Who is Nimrod?

Hiya! My name’s Nimrod and I am applying for the position of MISC for 2026 along with Jere. I am a second year DSD fuksi, having started my studies in 2024. I’ve been a really active member of the guild and otaniemi life already, and have loved the culture both in the guild and on campus, which has led me to want to apply to the AS board. I hope to introduce the MINT Fuksis to this amazing guild and overall Finnish culture.

My biggest source of experience for the role has been my tenure as the 2025 DSDeputy. During this year I have been part of the ETCo, ASIC and ASPU “boards” and have been an active part of many event organizations. This experience has been priceless, and I hope to leverage it to the utmost of my ability to ensure MINT fuksis have the best time possible. Having plenty of experience in these committees we can ensure the seamless continuation of them for the following year too.

My main motivation to be MISC (as mentioned above too) is that during my time as DSDeputy I have fallen in love with the Otaniemi culture, and want to continue to be a part of it and make sure that it is the best version of itself that is possible.

Goals as MISCs

1. Ensure that the masters and international students have the BEST year possible!!! (A year only possible once every 5 THOUSAND years)
2. To bring all parts of the guild together. Organizing and pushing for more events for all students of the guild, whether they be from the Finnish Bachelor’s side, English bachelor’s side, or among the MINT fuksis.
3. Attempt to further strengthen/grow ASIC. We think ASIC is a truly great idea for the guild in helping students from all backgrounds within AS to come together. And a big event like an ASIC sitsit would inevitably lead to much more of a shared community feeling within the guild. Seeing the massive success of this year’s patch too we believe that the interest in ASIC is great enough to allow for great success (it totally wasn’t cause of pitbull)

TLDR:
Jere and Nimrod for MISCs of 2026!! (Woohhh) We are extremely motivated for the job and are especially hungry​:lion: to bring the 2026 MINT students the best year of their lives, and to bring all AS students together as a more united organization.

Muutosehdotus hallituksen pohjaesitykseen

Koska olemme molemmat erittäin kiinnostuneita olemaan osa AS:n hallitusta, haluaisimme ehdottaa muutosta hallituksen rakenteeseen siten, että molemmat MISC:it olisivat osa hallitusta.

1. Tämä vähentäsi ylimääräistä kommunikaatioita MISC:ien välillä, sillä molemmat olisivat yhtä tietoisia asioita mitä killassa tapahtuu.
2. Tämä pitäisi huolen että kaikki MINT-asiat olisivat reilusti edustettuna hallituksessa.
3. Meidän mielestämme Suomenkieliset opiskelijat, Englanninkieliset kandidaatti opiskelijat sekä Maisteri ja Kansainväliset opiskelija ovat 3 erillistä ryhmää killassa, ja haluamme tehdä työtä että kaikki ryhmät olisivat yhtenäisempiä killassa. Lisäämällä Maisteri ja Kansainvälisten opiskelijoiden ääntä hallituksessa helpottaisi tuomaan näitä ryhmiä enemmän yhteen.
4. Haluamme pitää huolen että roolimme ei tuntuisi siltä, että toinen meistä on “pää” MISC ja toinen “se toinen” MISC. Haluamme molemmat olla tasavertaisia roolissamme, näin pitäen huolen että molemmat pysymme yhtä motivoituneena koko vuoden ajan.
5. Se olisi hauskaa

Aiempina vuosina molemmat MISC:it eivät välttämättä ole puhuneet suomea, jolloin on tehnyt järkeä että molemmat eivät ole osa hallitusta. Kuitenkin meidän tapauksessa molemmat hallitsevat suomea riittävästä pärjätäkseen.

Hei moi! (Hei moi). Olen Jere (Moi Jere) ja niinkuin aiemmin mainittu haen MISC:in rooliin vuodelle 2026 Nimrod:in kanssa. Olen toisen vuoden Automaation ja Robotiikan opiskelija (jokseenkin aloitin jo 23, mutta vedin intin fuksivuoden keskellä). Heti aloitettuani Otaniemessä tiesin, että haluan olla aktiivinen osa sen yhteisöä ja kiltaa. Vuonna 25 olen auttanut kippareita FuksiASistenttina jonka lisäksi olen myös MINT-ISO. Olen suuresti nauttinut molemmista näistä tehtävistä, ja nyt haluaisin ottaa seuraavan askeleen ja ottaa lisää vastuuta MISC:inä.

Teekkariasioiden ulkopuolella teen monia muita asioita vaihtelevalla määrällä säännöllisyyttä. Vapaa-ajallani (niinkuin varmaan suurin osa teistäkin) tykkään viettää aikaa kavereideni kanssa ja tehdä asioita heidän kanssaan. Muita asioita mitä teen vapaa-ajallani on Miekkailu, pyöräily, videopelit, lauta sekä rooli-pelit. Joskus myös järjestän kavereilleni tapahtumia kuten saunailtoja, sitsejä, lautapeli-iltoja tai bileitä. Nämä ovat antaneet minulle kokemusta ja itsevarmuutta asioiden järjestämisessä ja aikaansaamisessa.

Yksi suurimmista motivaatioistani MISC:iksi hakemissa (näkyy myös alempana suunnitelmissamme) on se, että minun nähdäkseni valitettavasti näyttää siltä, että AS on jakautunut kielen perusteella. Tämä yksi pää-asioista mitä haluaisin yrittää muuttaa MISC:inä.

Kuka on Nimrod

Moikka moiii! Mun nimi on Nimrod, ja mä olen hakemassa MISC-iksi vuodelle 2026 Jeren kanssa. Mä olen DSD ‘24 opiskelija, ja olen ollu tosi aktiivinen meidän killassa ja Otaniemessä ylipäänsä ja olen kauan rakastanu opiskelijaelämä ja yleensä kilta kulttuuria. Tän takia haluan hakea AS Killan hallitukseen. Toivon esitteleväni tätä uskomaton kiltaa, ja opiskelijakulttuuria myös MINT fukseille.

Mun kokemuksen suurin lähde on ollut mun aika DSDeputy:na ’25. Tämän vuoden aikana mä olin ASPU:ssa, ETCo:ssa ja ASIC:issa, ja olin tosi aktiivinen tapahtumien järjestämisessä. Tää kokemus oli korvaamaton, ja toivon, että voin käyttää sitä, jotta pystyn järjestämään mahdollisimman parhaan ajan MINT-fukseille.

Päämotivaationa olla MISC:i on se että mun aikanani DSDeputy:na, olen rakastunut Otaniemen kulttuuria ja haluan jatkossakin olla osaa sitä ja yritää pitää huolen että se voi olla paras mahdollinen versio itsestään.

Tavoitteemme MISC:einä:

MISC:einä suunnitelmamme tulevalle vuodelle olisivat:

1. Pitää huoli että Maistereilla ja kansanvälisillä opiskelijoilla olisi PARAS mahdollinen vuosi mitä vain voi toivoa. (Vuosi joka on mahdollinen ainoastaan viiden TUHANNEN vuoden välein.)
2. Tuoda kaikkia killan osa-alueita yhteen. Aiomme järjestää ja panostaa tapahtumiin johon kaikki voisivat osallistua ja nauttia, riippumatta siitä ovatko he suomenkielisiä tai englanninkielisiä kandidaatti-opiskelijoita, maisteri-opiskelijoita tai kansainvälisiä-opiskelijoita.
3. Vahvistaa ASIC:ia. Mielestämme ASIC on todella mahtava idea tuoda AS:n opiskelijat yhteen taustata riippumatta. Suuremmat tapahtumat kuten ASIC sitsit johtaisivat suurempaan yhteenkuulumisen tunteeseen koko killassa. Nähtyämme tämän vuoden ASIC-haalarimerkin suosion uskomme että ASIC tulee tekemään suuria asioita!!! (Suosio ei todellakaan johtunut pitbullista)

TLDR:
Jere ja Nimrod MISC:eiksi ‘26. Olemme motivoituneita pestiin ja erittäin tekemisen nälkäisiä:lion: tuomaan tuleville MINT-opiskelijoille elämänsä paras vuosi sekä tuomaan kaikki AS:n opiskelijat enemmän yhtenäiseksi joukoksi.

Moro Jere ja Nimrod! As one of the current MISCs, I feel that it is my responsibility to ask some extremely serious and important questions about the coming year.

1. If the hamu does not concern itself with having two lions on the board, which lion would take this role? Would one lion be on the board and the other lead ASIC, or would the lions not concern themselves with applying?
2. If the lions do concern themselves with organizing a new type of ASIC event, what event would the lions organize?
3. If the lion does not concern himself with being concerned about what the lion is concerned about, will the lion sleep with his socks on or off? How will this affect the trout population?

Hi Aapo and thanks for the deep and thought provoking questions.

1. We will advocate for two MISCs on the board till the very end. However in the case that the Hamu does not concern themselves with two MISCs then we will let the Hamu decide the MISC on the board, with the other of us going on to possibly other board positions, and we would begin the search for an outside the board MISC anew. If that were not possible, then we would as a last resort be fine with being one board and one none-board MISC. In that case one MISC would lead ASIC while the other is on the board. We would then also look into possibilities of doing a swap of our roles mid year.
2. We would strongly push for an ASIC sitsit (probably OK20 due to size). The premise of the sitsit would be that everyone has to bring something from their own cultures. Whether that be kossu or some kind of traditional clothing, these lion-cubs would not concern themselves. The sitsit would be in both languages with 50/50 Finnish/English Aasinsiltas and Songs.
3. The lion-cub will go to sleep without his socks on and then the cub will not be concerned about waking up with or without socks. This will negatively affect the trout population for the lion-cub is very hungry after waking up.
